Picking Out A Wedding Dress Before You’ve Picked A Husband

Jennifer Love Hewitt

I was watching The Ellen Degeneres show on yesterday, and one of my favorite actresses Jennifer Love Hewitt was on the show. I honestly think that all those damn ghosts from her show “The Ghost Whisperer” has drove her insane. Jennifer Love has been engaged 3 times and she’s only 31. On yesterdays show she discussed with Ellen that although she’s not engaged right now she already has her engagement ring picked out. This is kind of like a which came first the chicken or the egg kind of question. But usually when it comes to wedding planning you usually have to have the most important thing to have a wedding which is a groom right? Wrong. Not in many women’s eyes. So why you may say does she have a ring picked out without a husband? Her response was “I feel like I don’t want to be upset if he picks a bad ring”. And as dumb as this may sound many women feel this way. Hell there was a time when I felt this way. Which in my opinion the reason why many of us women are single.

We are focused on all the wrong things. Whew… that took a lot for me to say. I guess the first step is to admit you have a problem right? I’ve had friends who’ve said that they wouldn’t except anything less than 5 karats, well maybe that’s the reason she hasn’t got it yet? Because we’re so focused on all the wrong things, that we forget what’s important, which isn’t the ring, the dress, the party which is disguised as a wedding; its the other person in the relationship.

Exactly! Alot of times women get wrapped up in focusing on the “Things” and not the “Man” which is a recipe for a failed union. The one thing women must remember is to connect with that man on a spiritual level to where you both can kiss slowly everyday and say I Love You and those 5 karats or better of a diamond ring would be very insignificant infact meaningless compared to the connection shared by two spirits which inturn sustain the marriage (the reason for the party anyway)
